Composer's Notes:
Jazz Meets Classical is an annual series under the auspices of Musical Offerings, a chamber music organization founded in the late 1980's in San Antonio, Joan Christenson, Artistic Director. Now in it's 25th year, JMC has brought together the best of San Antonio's classical and jazz musicians to offer music that ranges from jazz influenced compositions and arrangements of music from Bach to Bernstein and beyond, as well as pieces commissioned for the series and its guest artists. The series has won awards and grants from the Russell Hill Rogers Foundation, the Artist Foundation of San Antonio, the San Antonio Museum of Art, the Kronkosky Foundation and others.
